Wildlife rangers say they are closely monitoring the dingo (wongari) responsible for attacking the young boy, who was walking alone near his campsite on the west of the island on June 16 when he was targeted. The incidents have worried Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) rangers as thousands of tourists prepare to flock to the heritage-listed island for school holidays.
